Pot of Wild Rice
Serves: 9 cups

Ingredients
  • 3 cups wild rice
  • 12 cups purified water
  • sea salt
Instructions
  1. Combine the rice with the water in a soup pot, salt well. Bring to a boil, lower to a simmer and cook, covered for 40 minutes. Check the rice, you'll know it's done when some of the grains have bursted open and the rice is pleasantly chewy but not too hard. Simmer longer if needed. Once cooked, drain out any remaining liquid, if there is any, and store the rice refrigerated in an airtight container until ready to use.
